I was 60% effaced last Thursday...?

Ok, this may sound like a really stupid question, but do you lose your mucus plug before, during, or after effacement begins? Also for those of you who have been through it before, how long after you started to efface did you go into labor/ your water broke? I was 60% effaced and the baby was in position last Thursday, and I have been doing EVERYTHING I can think of to get the ball rolling. Sex, nipple stimulation, walking, dancing with my two year old, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, lol even doing squats! So I was just wondering what experience you have had with going from effacement to labor. I know that everyone is different. (reposting since no one answered)
